If you encounter any issues while using Gatherly, follow these steps:

  • Are you using Google Chrome or Firefox?

  • For the best experience, use Google Chrome [Download Here]

2. Internet Connection

  • Is your Wi-Fi connection strong?

  • Run a speed test [HERE]. Ensure your speed is above 10 Mbps for an optimal experience.

  • If your connection is slower, consider using a mobile hotspot.

3. Close Background Applications

  • Something might be battling with your camera and microphone, if you have teams, zoom or meet running in the background.

  • It would be best to close these applications to ensure that Gatherly connects with your camera and microphones correctly.

4. Disable Corporate VPNs

  • Are you connected to a corporate VPN (Virtual Private Network)?

  • Disable any active VPN before joining Gatherly.

  • Are your external camera and microphone selected as the output?

  • Click the More button, go to Audio and Video, and ensure the correct devices are selected.

6. Enable Permissions for Camera and Microphone

  • Have you allowed browser permissions for your camera and microphone?

  • Right between the url and the refresh button, there would be a setting button to ensure that your camera and microphones are permitted to be used. Click this button to ensure that it has been permitted. You might need to reload the page after making the changes
